WIDOW BEGS FOR JUSTICE 4 YEARS AFTER DAUGHTER’S BRUTAL MURDER, CALLS ON NWIFURU AND IGP TO INTERVENE

Mrs Agnes Onu-Nwokorie is pleading with Ebonyi Governor Francis Nwifuru and Inspector-General of Police Kayode Egbetokun to intervene in the unresolved murder of her daughter Nnennaya, killed four years ago in her compound in Onicha Local Government.

Her daughter was gruesomely murdered on Dec. 23, 2021, with her head and leg chopped off amid a family dispute over inheritance and burial rites. Following threats to her life by suspects still at large, the widow fled with her surviving child after being denied access to family land and assets.

Despite a police manhunt, no arrests have been made, says Onu-Nwokorie. Police spokesman SP Joshua Ukandu assured that new Police Commissioner Anthonia Uche-Anya has mandated the arrest and prosecution of the culprits.
