Under the visionary leadership of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, Kwara State is transforming its education sector with the groundbreaking KwaraLEARN programme, hailed as the administration’s flagship policy. Focused on improving primary education outcomes, KwaraLEARN leverages technology, data-driven platforms, and comprehensive teacher training to deliver quality learning across public schools.
The initiative has expanded rapidly to cover all government primary schools, benefiting over 200,000 pupils with enhanced literacy, numeracy, and digital tools. Governor Abdulrazaq emphasizes that quality primary education is key to poverty reduction and economic growth, setting Kwara’s youth on a path to competitivity on the global stage.
Complementing this, the Kwara State Internal Revenue Service (KW-IRS) is nurturing a generation of financially savvy youths through its Annual Tax Club Quiz, reinforcing civic responsibility and fiscal discipline among students.
These efforts build on sound governance reflected in Kwara’s jump from 10th to 3rd place in fiscal performance nationally and a 36 percent rise in Internally Generated Revenue between 2023 and 2024, positioning the state as a model of educational innovation and economic growth.
