Yiaga Africa has lauded the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the early arrival of election materials and personnel at polling units across Anambra State. Cynthia Mbamalu, Yiaga’s Director of Programmes, commended the smooth start of voting at Community Primary School, Amawbia, where all materials arrived by 7:34 a.m., ahead of the official 8:30 a.m. commencement.
Multiple stakeholders, including INEC Presiding Officers and security agencies, were present to ensure a credible process. Early arrival contrasts sharply with previous elections when delays hindered voting, signaling positive progress toward transparent elections in 2025.
Political party representatives expressed optimism for a free, fair, and peaceful exercise, urging voters to come out in large numbers to decide their preferred candidates.
