Stakeholders in Anambra’s high-stakes governorship election have applauded the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the timely arrival of election materials and the orderly conduct of voting at polling units in Awka South and Njikoka LGAs. Deputy Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Mr Chukwuma Okoye, highlighted the intact presence of all voting essentials including BVAS machines, ballot papers, and result sheets, crediting the smooth process to early preparation.
Local leaders like Mr Chukwuemeka Orjiakor and former representative Mr Ferdinand Nwankwo expressed satisfaction and optimism, emphasizing improved INEC operations compared to previous polls and confidence in credible outcomes. The peaceful atmosphere and on-time start give hopeful signals toward free, fair, and credible elections in 2025.
