The governorship election in Anambra saw remarkable turnout across polling units in Aguata, Orumba South, and Orumba North LGAs, with voters arriving early and patiently awaiting their turn. Most voters were present even before INEC officials, signaling strong civic engagement.
Residents like 73-year-old Charles Orazulike praised the efficient voting process aided by the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS), which made accreditation faster and more convenient compared to previous elections. Community leaders and party agents from APGA and APC expressed satisfaction with the peaceful, orderly conduct and punctuality of election officials.
Security presence was robust, ensuring a safe environment for all voters, while observers noted large queues and calm behavior at various polling units, a testament to the electorate’s commitment to democracy.
