The Embassy of France in Nigeria, alongside Alliance Française of Kaduna and the National Museum Kaduna, has launched ‘Culture Connect’—a unique educational programme linking French language learning with art and heritage discovery. Over 200 students from partner schools in Kaduna will participate in guided bilingual tours at the National Museum during late November, engaging with permanent exhibits and the Louvre Museum’s educational kit debuting in Northern Nigeria.
The initiative aims to promote French language immersion while fostering cultural pride and preservation awareness among youth through interactive workshops, games, and creative activities. Participating pupils will receive bilingual booklets and certificates recognizing their cultural learning journey.
Museum Curator Malam Dikko Idris emphasized the programme’s role in connecting cultures and highlighting shared global heritage, while Alliance Française’s President Alhaji Misbahudeen Bolarinwa stressed the importance of raising the National Museum’s profile and safeguarding Kaduna’s cultural wealth.
This project is part of the French Embassy’s broader commitment to intercultural dialogue and environmental consciousness through language education.
