Lt.-Gen. Waidi Shaibu, Chief of Army Staff, has charged troops of Operation HADIN KAI in Maiduguri to gear up for a critical phase in the war against Boko Haram and ISWAP, where success is non-negotiable. Addressing troops, Shaibu revealed the Army’s deployment of battle-tested senior officers and new equipment, promising full support from command.
“This time, you are going to do it differently,” he told the soldiers, urging them to surpass the achievements of previous missions. The COAS assured improvements in welfare, including better allowances, medical care, and upgraded Army schools for soldiers’ children.
