UKRAINIAN SPECIAL FORCES HOLD FIRM IN FIERCE BATTLE FOR POKROVSK AGAINST RUSSIAN ADVANCE

Ukraine’s military intelligence service (HUR) has confirmed ongoing intense fighting in the strategic city of Pokrovsk, eastern Ukraine, where its special “Timur” unit and other forces are actively resisting Russian troops. HUR chief Kyrylo Budanov is reportedly present in the city, underscoring the operation’s significance.

The conflict centers on Pokrovsk, a vital logistics hub in the Donetsk region, where Ukrainian forces aim to prevent Russian capture despite heavy attacks and urban combat. Russia claims to have repelled Ukrainian attacks, while Kyiv denies reports that its troops are encircled.

Recently, Ukrainian commandos conducted a special airborne operation to secure supply routes amid escalating danger, challenging Moscow’s assertions of decisive gains. Both sides continue to contest control, with battlefield realities difficult to verify independently.

Pokrovsk’s defense is critical after more than three years of full-scale conflict, preserving a key supply line and maintaining efforts to stave off Russian territorial advances in the Donbass.
