CAF CHAMPIONS LEAGUE 2025/26 SET FOR THRILLING MATCHUPS INCLUDING NIGERIA’S RIVERS UNITED

The official draw for the 2025/2026 CAF Champions League group stage, held at CAF Broadcast Partner SuperSport studios in Johannesburg, revealed an exciting lineup of continental football giants. Nigerian club Rivers United joins Zambia’s Power Dynamos in a compelling Group A that features reigning champions Pyramids FC of Egypt and Moroccan giants RS Berkane.

This marquee group headlines a tournament packed with seven former African champions and promises some of the most competitive football to date. Pyramids FC and RS Berkane will renew their rivalry following last season’s CAF Super Cup, which Pyramids narrowly won.

Other groups feature historic teams like 12-time winners Al Ahly (Group B), perennial contenders Mamelodi Sundowns (Group C), and four-time winners Espérance de Tunis (Group D).

The group stage kicks off November 21-23, pauses for the Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025, then resumes in late January 2026. The winner will take home a $4 million prize, with runners-up earning $2 million.
