Energy experts at the 2025 Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC) highlighted the growing influence of Artificial Intelligence (AI), energy integration, and decarbonisation in shaping the future of global energy industries. Arzybek Kozhovshev of the Eurasian Economic Commission emphasized the vital role of AI-driven systems—ranging from automated pipeline inspections to real-time emergency monitoring—in enhancing operational resilience and safety.
Echoing this, Dr Sultan Al Jaber of ADNOC stressed the industry-wide adoption of AI and data-centric infrastructure, while Tim Wyatt of Caturus Energy spotlighted Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) as a crucial bridge fuel for reducing emissions, notably methane, through carbon capture technologies.
Additionally, SLB unveiled “Tela,” an agentic AI assistant designed to transform upstream energy workflows, combining automation with conversational interaction to boost efficiency at scale.
ADIPEC 2025 brought together over 16,500 delegates, 1,800 speakers, and 2,250 companies, focusing on themes of sustainable energy, digitalisation, and decarbonisation under the banner “Smart Energy for Accelerated Progress.”
