Motorists traveling along the Kaduna-Zaria expressway are warned about a temporary traffic diversion at KM 49, Gwaranza Village, starting from November 1. The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Kaduna Sector Command announced the diversion to facilitate construction work on an overpass as part of the Kaduna-Kano standard gauge rail project.
The Sector Commander, Corps Commander Tijjani Iliyasu, urged drivers to obey traffic signs, cooperate with traffic personnel, and drive with caution as they approach the work site. He also emphasized that the diversion would last until further notice, and in case of emergencies, motorists are advised to call the FRSC toll-free line: 122 or 09139601839.
Officials conveyed that authorities are working diligently to ensure safety and smooth traffic flow during this period of road improvement.
