RETIRED GEN. CHRISTOPHER MUSA URGES SOLDIERS TO STAY STEADFAST: “NIGERIA IS WORTH FIGHTING FOR”

At an emotional Pulling-Out Parade in Abuja, Retired Gen. Christopher Musa marked the end of his distinguished 39-year military career with a powerful message, Nigeria is a nation worth every sacrifice. Musa reflected on his time in service as the greatest honour of his life, expressing gratitude to President Bola Tinubu for the trust to serve as Chief of Defence Staff since 2023.

He paid heartfelt tribute to his family, calling them the unsung heroes who bore the weight of his long absences and safety concerns. Musa urged soldiers and security agencies alike to remain united, emphasizing no single institution can win the fight against insecurity alone. He praised the Nigerian Police, DSS, NIA, and all security forces for their critical roles.

Though retiring from active duty, Musa declared he remains a soldier at heart and a committed patriot, pledging to continue serving Nigeria in whatever way he can. His legacy calls for loyalty, professionalism, and collaboration to secure lasting peace for the nation.
