The Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency (DSVA) has applauded the Lagos State Police Command for apprehending a taxi driver accused of multiple rapes, defilement, assault, and armed robbery targeting female passengers. The agency praised the police’s professionalism and dedication in a statement on its official social media handle.

DSVA is working closely with the police to ensure justice is served and urged other victims or survivors to come forward with information to broaden the ongoing investigation. The agency reassured that all reports will be treated with confidentiality and that survivors will receive necessary psychological, legal, and medical support.

The suspect, Adedayo Adegbola, was arrested following a discreet investigation after several victims identified him in viral social media posts. Police also recovered a red Toyota Corolla with registration JJJ 226 HT, believed to have been used in the crimes.

The Lagos Police Command commended the crackdown and called on residents to remain vigilant and supportive, encouraging anyone with relevant information to report promptly via DSVA’s hotlines and contact channels.
