INEC HITS IBADAN STREETS TO BOOST VOTER REGISTRATION IN OYO STATE

INEC in Oyo State took its voter registration campaign on the road in Ibadan, visiting busy spots like Bodija Market, Sango Market, University of Ibadan gate, and Mokola roundabout. The aim? To raise awareness about the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise happening across Nigeria’s 774 Local Government Areas since August 18.

Mr. Taliatu Adeagbo, Head of Voter Education and Publicity, encouraged everyone—especially those newly turned 18—to register and collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs). He reminded voters to fix any PVC issues and transfer their registration if needed during this period.

With registration running until December 10, Adeagbo warned that only those with valid PVCs will vote in upcoming elections. He urged people to visit their local INEC offices to complete registration or collect their cards before time runs out.
