FC Technical Adviser Ladan Bosso remains positive about Barau FC’s performance despite a 0-0 stalemate against Wikki Tourists in week 11 of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) at the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kano. Speaking after the match, Bosso praised his players’ commitment and acknowledged that the team is still developing.
“We shouldn’t be too hard on ourselves. The boys gave their best, but we need to improve our build-up play, wing crosses, and connection between midfield and attack,” Bosso said. He noted that poor coordination and lack of dangerous crosses from the wings limited clear scoring chances.
Bosso emphasized ongoing focus on training to enhance link-up play and finishing, crediting his largely young squad of newly promoted players for their quick learning and steady improvement. Currently, Barau FC stands 18th in the NPFL table.
Wikki Tourists Head Coach Abdu Maikaba commended the spirited performance from both sides and expressed satisfaction with securing an away point. Maikaba is hopeful for stronger output in their upcoming match against Niger Tornadoes in Bauchi.
The match showcased tactical resilience, with both teams battling hard but unable to break the deadlock.
