Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa on Thursday surprised traditional rulers across the state with brand-new Toyota SUVs, reaffirming his commitment to their welfare and the promotion of traditional institutions. The presentation, held in Akure, recognized the crucial role of royal fathers in maintaining peace and security throughout the state.
“All Grade ‘A’ Obas received 2025 Toyota Fortuner Jeeps, while Grade ‘B’ and ‘C’ Obas will soon get 2025 Toyota Cross Jeeps,” the governor announced, describing the vehicles as symbols of dignity, honor, and respect.
Aiyedatiwa praised the traditional rulers for their support and highlighted his administration’s achievements, including completing a long-abandoned secretariat for the council of Obas and ensuring regular funding allocations.
Olowo of Owo, Oba Ajibade Ogunoye, expressed gratitude, calling the gesture befitting and promised continued partnership with the government to foster peace and development.
