The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has proudly marked a century of aviation excellence in Kano, commemorating the historic first aircraft landing in the city on November 1, 1925. The event took place at the Malam Aminu Kano International Airport, celebrating Kano’s vital role as a hub of commerce, culture, and connectivity in Nigeria’s aviation history.
Representing FAAN Managing Director Olubunmi Kuku, Kano Regional Manager Alhaji Musa Okikiri described the milestone as a significant chapter in Nigeria’s aviation journey. Programme Director Mr. Tayo Ajuri hailed the anniversary as a celebration of success, modernization, and Kano’s emergence as a vital gateway linking Nigeria to the world.
The celebration featured cultural displays, exhibitions, and goodwill messages, with dignitaries, academicians, and students in attendance, showcasing Kano’s enduring aviation legacy and promising future.
