TikTok has officially announced ‘Wasiu Ayinde’ by BhadBoi OML as the top Nigerian Song of the Summer for 2025, recognizing its massive popularity and cultural impact across the platform.
Toyin Mustapha, TikTok’s Head of Music Partnerships for UK, Ireland & Sub-Saharan Africa, highlighted how the album ‘Bhadboi’ uniquely blends modern pop with traditional Yoruba Fuji influences, showcasing a fresh, authentic take on Afrobeats that’s resonating widely.
The top 10 list also featured hits from big names like Davido, Olamide, and Rybeena, plus gospel-inspired tracks and sounds from South Africa and Uganda, reflecting the rich diversity of African music embraced by Nigerian audiences.
Mustapha explained that TikTok is a vibrant space where fans and creators unite to shape culture and break music boundaries, with collaborations powering much of the chart success—including songs like “99” by Olamide and friends, and “With You” by Davido and Omah Lay.
Amapiano’s influence remains undeniable, and emotionally-driven tracks like Chella’s “My Darling” also found their viral moments, fueling dance challenges and lifestyle trends that capture Nigeria’s youth energy.
