DEFENCE MINISTER BADARU URGES NEW SERVICE CHIEFS TO UNITE AND DELIVER ON SECURITY

During a maiden courtesy visit at the Ministry of Defence in Abuja on Tuesday, Minister of Defence Mohammed Badaru emphasized the urgent need for a unified strategy and decisive leadership from the newly appointed Service Chiefs led by Chief of Defence Staff Lt.-Gen. Olufemi Oluyede.

Joined by Chief of Army Staff Maj.-Gen. Waidi Shaibu, Chief of Naval Staff Rear Adm. Idi Abbas, and Chief of Air Staff AVM Sunday Aneke, the visit underlined Badaru’s commitment to building a defence leadership based on trust, collaboration, and shared purpose.

Badaru reiterated that under President Bola Tinubu’s guidance, the military leadership must strengthen cooperation to effectively safeguard Nigeria’s territorial integrity and national interests.
