WIKKI TOURISTS ROAR BACK TO VICTORY WITH 2-0 WIN OVER SHOOTING STARS

Wikki Tourists Football Club of Bauchi bounced back strongly on Sunday, defeating Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan 2-0 at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium. The win ends Wikki’s losing streak from their last two games and lifts their spirits in front of home fans.

Abdullahi Usman opened the scoring in the 30th minute after a brilliant attacking move that left 3SC’s defence exposed. Jonathan Mairiga doubled the lead in the 42nd minute, securing a comfortable advantage by half-time.

In the second half, Wikki shifted to a defensive strategy, successfully holding off multiple Shooting Stars attempts to break through. The victory moved Wikki Tourists to 12 points, placing them 13th after Matchday 10 of the Nigeria Premier Football League.

3SC head coach Nurudeen Aweroro acknowledged his team’s shortcomings but vowed a stronger comeback, while Wikki’s technical adviser Abdul Maikaba praised his team’s determination and defensive resolve.
