CYBERSECURITY STAKEHOLDERS URGE POLICIES TO PROTECT CHILDREN FROM DIGITAL ABUSE

At the 2025 Cybersecurity Awareness Day event themed “Stay Safe Online,” Levi EduTech and other stakeholders called for the urgent implementation of cybersecurity policies to shield people, especially children, from mental and moral abuses online. The event celebrated cybersmart educators and introduced Cybersmart Clubs in schools aimed at addressing digital morality crises.

Levi EduTech has trained over 140 educators across Nigeria, equipping them to integrate cybersecurity safely in classroom practices by focusing on fundamentals, practical training, and digital safety tools. Prof. Boniface Kayode stressed the need for Nigerian schools to adopt robust cybersecurity frameworks to protect students and institutional data.

Mrs. Naomi Adesola-Zion, Head of Operations at Levi EduTech, highlighted the dual nature of technology as both a blessing and a battlefield, urging schools, parents, and policymakers to unite in guiding youth toward responsible and ethical technology use.
