TROOPS OF OPERATION HADIN KAI NEUTRALIZE 10 TERRORISTS IN BOORO, SECURE ARMS AND EQUIPMENT

The Nigerian military’s Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK) has successfully neutralized 10 terrorists and recovered a significant cache of arms, ammunition, and equipment in fresh encounters along the Gamboru–Dikwa–Marte axis of Borno. The operation, confirmed by Lt.-Col. Sani Uba, the Media Information Officer for OPHK, involved intense night combat in which the troops thwarted a terrorist attempt to infiltrate Gamboru Ngala.

During the operation, troops engaged hostile elements with heavy fire, resulting in scores of terrorists being killed and the recovery of sophisticated weapons including five AK-47 rifles, a PKT machine gun, locally-made dane guns, and fabricated pistols. The troops also seized magazines, linked ammunition, motorcycles, bicycles, and communication equipment, all while inflicting casualties on the insurgents.

This operation follows an earlier offensive that eliminated over 50 insurgents at Katarko and underscores the Nigerian Army’s commitment to restoring peace in the Northeast. The military high command lauded the troops’ bravery and affirmed its resolve to sustain offensive operations until peace is fully restored.
