The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Plateau State has elected fresh officials to steer the party for the next four years, signaling a new era of unity and determination ahead of the 2027 elections. The smooth congress, held in Jos, saw 39 candidates return via consensus, while delegates cast votes in a transparent process overseen by Dr. David Umbugadu and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Raymond Dabo, the newly elected State Chairman, pledged committed leadership focused on reconciliation and inclusiveness. Governor Caleb Mutfwang congratulated the team and urged them to prioritize healing divisions within the party, stating, “The time of exclusion is over. Let’s unite and work for victory.”
Mutfwang dismissed divisions as a thing of the past, emphasizing the party’s readiness to deliver good governance. The congress marked a peaceful milestone, reflecting maturity and loyalty within the PDP ranks.
The new officials plan to undertake a state-wide tour to engage grassroots members and strengthen PDP’s foundation as the people’s party.
