The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Kebbi State has suspended Dr. Sule-Iko Sadeeq following his self-proclaimed assumption of the party’s State Chairman position without due consultation or authorization. The suspension, announced in a statement signed by Alhaji Abubakar Atiku-Musa, ADC Kebbi Publicity Secretary, takes immediate effect.
The decision was reached after consultations according to the party’s constitution and directives from the National Working Committee (NWC), which clarified that all state chairmen retain their roles until May 2026. The National coalition leader reportedly was unaware of Sadeeq’s unilateral claim.
The State Working Committee (SWC) officially suspended Sadeeq and warned against his participation in any party activities. Alhaji Sufiyanu Bala remains the constitutional and recognized ADC Chairman in Kebbi.
Security agencies are urged to prevent Sadeeq from representing himself as chairman. Party members and the public are asked to disregard unauthorized claims contradicting the official party position.
