NVMA CONGRESS IN TARABA TO SHOWCASE NIGERIA’S LIVESTOCK HUB AND VETERINARY EXPERTISE

Tafarki Agbadu, Chairman of the Local Organising Committee for the Nigerian Veterinary Medical Association (NVMA) congress, has highlighted the Mambilla Plateau in Taraba State as a key livestock production area in Nigeria. Speaking in Jalingo ahead of the National Congress scheduled from October 28 to 31, Agbadu said over 700 participants including Veterinary Surgeons, researchers, policymakers, livestock producers, and pharmaceutical reps are expected.

He emphasized that Taraba’s selection by the National Executive Council acknowledges its vital role in agriculture and public health. The congress aims to connect local veterinary professionals, students, and stakeholders with national and international experts, fostering innovation and knowledge sharing.

Agbadu praised Governor Agbu Kefas for supporting the event and assured strong security measures while appealing to residents to extend warm hospitality to the delegates.
