NIGERIAN TROOPS THWART TERRORIST ATTACKS, KILL OVER 50 INSURGENTS IN NORTHEAST

Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have delivered a crushing blow to terrorists in Borno and Yobe states by killing more than 50 insurgents and repelling coordinated night attacks on military positions across Dikwa, Mafa, Gajibo, and Katarko. Supported by precision airstrikes and intelligence, the military recovered numerous weapons, including AK-47s, machine guns, and RPGs, while rescuing several kidnapped victims.

A deeper dive into the operation reveals the strategic complexity behind the success. Terrorists attacking Dikwa and Gajibo reportedly came from the Cameroon axis, and those hitting Katarko emerged from the notorious Timbuktu Triangle, a key insurgent hideout. The swift and coordinated response, combining ground forces with aerial reconnaissance and firepower, showcased enhanced battlefield awareness and operational synergy, underscoring Nigeria’s ongoing commitment to dismantling extremist networks and restoring peace to the region.
