EKITI POLICE PRESENTS N23.8 MILLION COMPENSATION TO FAMILIES OF 27 FALLEN OFFICERS

Ekiti State Commissioner of Police, Joseph Eribo, has presented a cheque of N23.849 million to the families of 27 officers who died in active service. The presentation, announced by the state Police Public Relations Officer Sunday Abutu, was made at the behest of Inspector-General of Police Kayode Egbetokun as a gesture of support and sympathy.

Commissioner Eribo assured the families that the police remain committed to the welfare of officers and their loved ones. He also highlighted plans to strengthen welfare schemes to improve support for the families of fallen heroes and enhance conditions for serving officers. He encouraged beneficiaries to use the funds wisely, investing in legitimate businesses and household upkeep.

The families expressed gratitude to the Inspector-General and pledged to make good use of the financial support to ease their burdens.
