BORNO POLICE SAFELY REMOVE IEDS AFTER FOILED BOKO HARAM ATTACK

In a timely operation along the Ngwaom–Mafa Road in Borno State, police successfully neutralized two Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) planted by insurgents. The discovery and detonation occurred during a post-attack assessment visit by Governor Babagana Zulum, Police Commissioner Naziru Abdulmajid, and senior military officials following a foiled Boko Haram attack on October 22-23.

ASP Nahum Daso, the police spokesperson, confirmed the removal prevented potential harm to security forces and civilians. Commissioner Abdulmajid praised the coordinated efforts of police, military, and other security agencies for their vigilance and professionalism. He also assured ongoing deployment of additional resources to maintain security gains in the region.

The police command expressed gratitude to Governor Zulum for his leadership and the sustained collaboration among security agencies in Borno to uphold peace and stability.
