The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Northern Stakeholders, including governors and key party leaders, have unanimously endorsed Kabiru Tanimu Turaki (SAN) as their consensus candidate for the National Chairman position at the upcoming November 15 convention in Ibadan. The decision followed extensive consultations representing all 19 northern states plus Abuja, aiming to promote unity ahead of the party’s convention.
Adamawa Governor Ahmadu Fintiri assured that the process remains open to any other aspirants wishing to contest, emphasizing a democratic approach and promising a rancour-free convention. Turaki, a respected legal expert and former Minister of Special Duties, is set to lead the PDP into the 2027 general elections.
