OKAPI CHILDREN CANCER FOUNDATION DONATES OVER ₦39.5 MILLION TO FCT HOSPITALS FOR CHILDHOOD CANCER CARE

HOOK: Okapi Children Cancer Foundation (OkapiCCF) has generously donated more than ₦39.5 million to major hospitals in the Federal Capital Territory, helping underprivileged children battling cancer access essential treatment. The funds were presented to National Hospital, FMC Jabi, and University of Abuja Teaching Hospital, covering chemotherapy, radiology, and other critical medical expenses.

Founder Kemi Adekanye highlighted that 70% of the donation will go directly to treatment while the rest supports scholarships, psychological care, and economic empowerment for families. The foundation, active for nine years, continues to stand by children and families fighting cancer, urging government action to make treatment more affordable and accessible.
