The Nigerian Army has made a significant breakthrough with the arrest of dreaded terrorist and insurgent leader Idris Idris, popularly known as Babawo Badoo, along with 37 other suspects across the country. Babawo Badoo, responsible for deadly attacks and kidnappings in the North Central region, was captured by troops of Operation ENDURING PEACE in Plateau State on October 20.
The coordinated operations also rescued 15 kidnapped victims, neutralised two terrorists, and recovered weapons and ammunition. This major success dealt a heavy blow to violent extremist networks and underscores the Army’s commitment to restoring peace and security nationwide.
