Senator Engr. Nweze David Umahi, Honourable Minister of Works, has expressed profound sorrow over the death of Navy Captain Walter Aye Feghabo (Rtd.), the first Military Administrator of Ebonyi State, who passed away on October 19, 2025, aged 69. Umahi praised Feghabo’s courageous and transformative leadership during his tenures in Ebonyi and Delta States.
Remembered for his commitment to core naval leadership values like mission accomplishment and resource stewardship, the late Captain Feghabo laid essential foundations for Ebonyi’s development and stability. Umahi extended heartfelt condolences to Feghabo’s family, the naval community, and the Bayelsa State government, praying for the peaceful repose of a highly respected statesman.
The Honourable Minister also sent warm regards from his family and the Federal Ministry of Works staff, marking a significant loss for Nigeria’s public service and military history.
