The demolition followed the dramatic rescue of a kidnapped victim and the recovery of arms and the victim’s vehicle by security operatives. The prime suspect, Igwenagu Ogbodo, and some gang members fled with gunshot wounds during the security raid.
Nkanu West LGA Chairman, John Ogbodo, lauded Governor Peter Mbah’s firm stance against insecurity, reiterating that any property harbouring criminals in the state will be demolished. This is the first such demolition in Nkanu West and aims to serve as a warning to criminals. Residents and community leaders are urged to be vigilant and report suspicious activities as the government deploys advanced technology and manpower in the fight against crime.
