Commissioner of Police, Ondo State Command, Adebowale Lawal, has ordered the immediate redeployment of the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Enu-Owa Division after a viral video showed social media influencer Adefolarin Ayomiposi, popularly known as Mandykiss, recording and taking photos of suspects in police custody.
Lawal explained that the incident, which generated public outrage, revealed no police officer accompanied Mandykiss during the arrest of the suspects identified as Mrs. Akinwole Sabitu and her daughter Oyindamola, accused of cyberbullying. Mandykiss’s actions at the station violated standard police procedures and the principle that suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
The CP condemned the lapse in professional judgment, emphasizing that such conduct undermines public confidence in the police, and reiterated his commitment to discipline and accountability within the force.
