Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) showed dominance at home, beating Abia Warriors 2-0 to move up to second place in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) standings. The win at Lekan Salami Sports Complex in Ibadan saw Ayobami Junior open the scoring in the 20th minute, setting the tone for the Oluyole Warriors’ solid performance.
Coach Nurudeen Aweroro’s tactical substitutions helped seal the victory as Qamar Adegoke strengthened the attack and new players came on to close out the match. Abia Warriors almost pulled one back early in the second half but missed a chance to rally. With this result, 3SC now has 15 points from nine games, trailing only Nassarawa United at the top of the table.
