LAGOS POLICE ASSURE RESIDENTS: STATE REMAINS CALM AMID NATIONWIDE PROTEST REPORTS

The Lagos State Police Command reassured locals on Monday that Lagos is safe and peaceful despite protest rumors circulating across the country. Commissioner of Police Olohundare Jimoh spoke during a Show of Force exercise in Ikeja, highlighting strategic police deployments at known protest hotspots like Lekki Toll Gate, Ojota, and Maryland.

Jimoh stressed that residents can go about their businesses without fear while officers remain vigilant to prevent troublemakers from disrupting public peace. The police have also instituted real-time monitoring with situation reports every 15 minutes. So far, no unrest or traffic disruptions have been reported, with major areas remaining calm under visible police presence.
