Justine Ngeera, a rising golf star from Kenya, has made waves by becoming the first international winner of the 12th Awa Ibraheem Junior Golf Competition at Ikeja Golf Club, Lagos. The tournament brought together young talents from Nigeria, Ghana, and Cameroon competing fiercely in this World Amateur Golf Ranking event.
Nigerian Matthew Ayin and Uno Ogoh took second and third places among the boys, while Benue’s Akafu Ebehi dominated the girls’ 14-16 category. The event showcased emerging stars across various age groups, awarding cash prizes, scholarships, and trophies for outstanding skill and sportsmanship.
Chief sponsor Awa Ibraheem hailed the tournament as a gateway to global golf for African youth, emphasizing its role in growing the sport from grassroots and celebrating Nigeria’s own champions who rose through this platform.
