The Israeli Ambassador to Nigeria, Michael Freeman, has expressed deep gratitude to President Donald Trump for his role in securing the safe return of Israeli hostages from Gaza and advancing peace efforts in the Middle East. Speaking at a remembrance event in Abuja marking two years since the tragic Oct. 7, 2023 Hamas attack, Freeman called the day the darkest in modern Israeli history, recalling the horrors inflicted by terrorists.
He praised Trump’s steadfast support and courage, saying his efforts helped bring hostages home and end the war. Freeman expressed hope for a future where children grow up in peace, free from terror and rockets. He honored the memory of victims and reaffirmed Israel’s right to live freely in its ancestral homeland, emphasizing Israel’s enduring connection to its land and heritage.
