US ADVISER REJECTS CHRISTIAN GENOCIDE CLAIMS, URGES UNITY AGAINST TERRORISM

A senior US adviser on Arab and African affairs, Boulos, has debunked claims of Christian genocide in Nigeria, highlighting that Boko Haram’s attacks claim more Muslim lives. Speaking after meeting President Bola Tinubu at the 2025 Aqaba Process Summit in Rome, Boulos stressed terrorism has no religion or tribe—it affects all Nigerians indiscriminately.

Highlighting the need for a unified, holistic approach to combat terror, he praised Nigeria’s efforts under President Tinubu and called for deeper US-Nigeria collaboration to protect all civilians. The summit, attended by leaders across Africa, the Middle East, and Europe, focused on security in West Africa and the Sahel.

Boulos also noted that violence in Nigeria is part of broader global conflicts that fuel terrorism tactics, such as armed drones and improvised explosives, making international cooperation essential to tackling these evolving threats effectively.
