Nigeria’s aviation future just got brighter! Dr. Isaac Balami’s new university aims to equip students with top-notch aeronautics and management skills, blending classroom learning with hands-on experience—right in Lagos.
IBUAM, recently licensed by NUC, promises degrees plus international certifications in aircraft maintenance, avionics, and operations. Students get to train in real aircraft hangars and gain up to 10,000 hours of practical flying experience. With partnerships involving Boeing, Airbus, and Rolls-Royce, graduates are set to lead Africa’s aviation industry globally.
Balami’s vision is a self-sufficient tech-savvy aviation workforce, reducing Africa’s dependency on expatriates and costly overseas training.
