Ending hunger takes everyone’s effort! At the 2025 World Food Day celebration in Lafia, leaders from government, farmers, and private sector stressed teamwork as the key to food security.
The event, themed “Collaborating for Zero Hunger,” highlighted how partnerships among the Commodity Agricultural Forum (CAF), Value Chain Development Programme (VCDP), and governments have transformed Nasarawa’s agriculture, especially boosting rice and cassava productivity.
Speakers urged deeper collaboration where government creates enabling environments, private investors scale up, and farmers and citizens sustain food production. A modern, climate-smart agricultural system is the goal to ensure no child in Nasarawa goes hungry.
Innovations and farm produce on display proved how collaboration can build resilient food systems and sustainable growth, with academia, businesses, and communities all playing their part.
