NIGERIAN STOCK MARKET BOUNCES BACK WITH N20 BILLION GAIN

After a tough day, Nigeria’s stock market is back in the green! Investors gained N20 billion with renewed interest in key stocks leading the charge.

On Wednesday, the market reversed previous losses, closing with a N20 billion boost, pushing market capitalization from N93.756 trillion to N93.776 trillion. The All-Share Index climbed by 0.20%, settling at 147,742.23.

Skye Shelter Fund led gainers with a 9.88% rise, followed by Royal Exchange and International Energy Insurance. Julius Berger and Omatek Ventures also posted notable gains. On the flip side, Triple Gee topped the losers’ list with a 9.91% drop.

Trading activity surged with 389.1 million shares valued at N12.5 billion exchanged across 23,017 deals, marking an improvement from the previous day’s volume and value. Fidelity Bank led trading volumes with 46.9 million shares.
