President Bola Tinubu has expressed heartfelt condolences to Kenya after the passing of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, describing him as a towering figure whose influence shaped democracy and unity across Africa.
In a statement shared by Presidential spokesperson Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu praised Odinga’s lifelong fight for justice, electoral reforms, and people-powered governance, calling his resilience and courage inspiring. He hailed Odinga as a statesman known for championing Pan-Africanism, inclusive governance, and regional cooperation.
“His legacy will live on in the institutions he helped build and the democratic ideals he stood for,” Tinubu said. “We mourn with Kenya and stand with President William Ruto in this moment of grief. May Odinga’s memory continue to guide Kenya toward peace, unity, and progress.”
