NARD DEMANDS REINSTATEMENT OF SACKED DOCTORS, WARNS OF HEALTH CRISIS

The Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) is standing firm, calling on the Federal Government to reinstate five doctors sacked by Federal Teaching Hospital Lokoja over union activities. Dr. Muhammed Suleiman, NARD President, says “enough is enough” as these doctors have been sidelined for over a year.

NARD’s 30-day ultimatum to the government is ticking, demanding not just reinstatement but also payment of unpaid salaries, promotions, and allowances. With one doctor currently serving over 9,000 Nigerians far from the recommended 1:600 ratio Suleiman warns this crisis could soon become a national disaster if ignored.

NARD is ready for dialogue and urges President Bola Tinubu to act urgently. They also praise the new Acting CMD of FTH Lokoja for his cooperation and seek partnership for justice.
