The Joint Task Force, Operation Enduring Peace (JTF-OPEP), teamed up with Operation Fansan Yamma to arrest a suspected gunrunner and his wife in Saminaka, Kaduna State. Maj. Samson Zhakom confirmed the duo, aged 40 and 18, were caught on October 8 at a checkpoint.
Over 1,200 rounds of 7.62 mm ammo meant for armed groups in Nigeria’s Northwest were seized. The suspects are now in custody as investigations continue.
This crackdown shows JTF-OPEP’s commitment to keeping peace across Kaduna, Plateau, and Bauchi states.
