The All Progressives Congress (APC) has decided to use the consensus method for its upcoming Ekiti State Governorship Primary, following the voluntary withdrawal of aspirant Mrs. Atinuke Omolayo. Party spokesman Felix Morka announced this move Tuesday, saying Omolayo’s withdrawal and endorsement of Gov. Biodun Oyebanji cleared the way for a consensus candidate.
The party has informed INEC and will hold its delegate congress on Saturday, with an appeal congress on October 26 and a special nomination congress to ratify the candidate on October 27.
Morka praised Omolayo’s sportsmanship and called on all Ekiti APC members to unite and work hard for victory in the June 2026 governorship race.
