ALI NUHU REAFFIRMS NFC’S COMMITMENT TO ZUMA INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL, PROMISES BIGGER AND BETTER 15TH EDITION

Ali Nuhu, Managing Director of the Nigerian Film Corporation (NFC), has reaffirmed the corporation’s dedication to engaging stakeholders for the upcoming Zuma International Film Festival. Speaking with NAN in Abuja, he emphasized the festival’s role as Nigeria’s premier film event, held annually in partnership with the Federal Capital Territory Administration, that connects filmmakers and industry players from around the world.

Nuhu revealed a record-breaking 3,160 film entries this year—including significant participation from India, China, and the U.S.—signaling the festival’s growing global stature. He highlighted the festival’s goal of fostering mentorship, creativity, and international collaboration, urging young filmmakers to embrace originality and be proud ambassadors of Nigerian culture. With technology and AI evolving, Nuhu encouraged the production of films that resonate positively and make lasting impact, making Zuma a key platform for cinematic excellence and industry growth.
