OAUSTECH ASUU JOIN TWO-WEEK NATIONAL WARNING STRIKE FOR BETTER CONDITIONS

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) at Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology (OAUSTECH), Okitipupa branch, has joined the nationwide two-week warning strike called by the union’s national leadership. ASUU Chairman Dr. Oluwatoyin Ogunbamike confirmed the move, saying they must follow national directives to improve conditions for all members across Nigerian public universities. Fortunately, the strike won’t disrupt OAUSTECH students, who are still on vacation before the 2025/2026 academic session starts.

National ASUU President Prof. Chris Piwuna announced the strike at a news conference, citing unmet demands and ordering a total withdrawal of services starting midnight on October 13. This warning strike aims to push for urgent attention to the union’s concerns nationwide.
