NIGERIAN ARMY ARRESTS HIGH-PROFILE TERROR SUSPECT, RECAPTURES ARMS, AND SECURES TERRORIST SURRENDERS

The Nigerian Army has successfully apprehended notorious kidnap kingpin Emmanuel Akpan and an ISWAP courier, recovered weapons, and recorded terrorist surrenders in coordinated operations across the country between October 7 and 9. Akpan was caught in Akwa Ibom during a raid supported by the DSS, while terror suspects and ammunition were seized in Borno and Kaduna states.

Three terrorists, including a woman, surrendered in Niger State citing intense military pressure. Anti-oil theft efforts intensified in several states, leading to the seizure of fuel, boats, and dismantling of illegal refineries, showcasing the Army’s commitment to securing peace and economic stability in Nigeria.
