FG MOVES TO MAKE HOUSING AFFORDABLE FOR LOW-INCOME NIGERIANS, LAUNCHES NATIONAL CAMPAIGN

Minister of Housing, Ahmed Dangiwa, says the Federal Government is committed to making housing affordable for low-income Nigerians through a new financial model under the National Social Housing Fund. Housing costs will be capped at one-third of income to ensure ownership is within reach for all.

Dangiwa announced plans to boost local building material production, create jobs, and reduce imports by setting up manufacturing hubs nationwide. The government also launched the Renewed Hope National Homeownership Campaign to bridge federal housing goals with state actions and deepen homeownership across Nigeria, starting soon in Katsina State.

With over 10,000 new homes under development and urban renewal projects transforming slums, the ministry is focused on creating thriving, livable communities nationwide.
